Message from your Prez
Ladies and Gents,

Hope you all have a great Christmas, and wishing you nothing but the best for 2024 !!!

*** This Friday the 5th we will be at the Howell Fire Department, 1211 W Grand River, just down the road from LESA. LESA is closed, so don't go there. The program will be all things MITT. It will also be a potluck, so I need a few people to step up and offer to bring  or make something, bagels, donuts, muffins, fruit, egg casserole, pancakes... you get the idea... Shoot me an email and I'll keep the list of who is bringing what.

Please also park in the lot furthest away from Grand River and closest to town. God forbid there is an incident while we are there the firefighters need to be able to do their job and have un hindered access to the building.

Lastly, if you absolutely can not make it in person, there will be a zoom option. I hate to offer this cause I don't want this to be a reason not to come in person. But since it is MITT, I want to make sure everyone can participate. For the zoom option, please send me an email and I will send you the invite.

**** Our own Meg Marhofer is the lead for Howell's All night Senior Party. This party costs about $20k to put on. Yes it's a big number, but it would be cool if we could help her close that gap a little. Attached are two things. One, a simple donation form, where you can write a check. The second is a JPeg for a comedy night on the 19th with proceeds going to the all night party. (I've seen one of these guys before, and he's funny). Please consider helping Meg out.

That's it for now... Have a great rest of the short week and see ya Friday at the Howell Fire Hall...Your Prez....
Pobuda Scholarship - Fantasy Football
Connie Conklin Wins Pobuda FF League 2023!!!
Gillys Gridiron (Connie Conklin) defeated The Bonecrushers (Jim Watters) 129-100 in the Championship Game this past weekend to secure the travelling trophy and a $100 cash prize.

(Somebody needs to tell Jim Watters since he hasn't checked his team since the Draft in August...)

The "D" Loves the Dude (Jim Gilmore) finished Third and Barb Striz finished Fourth.

Congrats to the winners and thanx to all as we raised $400 for the Don Pobuda Memorial Scholarship.

Community Connect
The Livingston County Homeless Continuum of Care is reminding residents to mark their calendars for Community Connect 2024, which will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 2|42 Community Church in Brighton. We’re busy planning the final details of the event but look forward to bringing the community another day of connection with services, free resources, and plenty of helpful information. Everyone in our community who could benefit from these services and resources is welcome to attend.

The event will offer many valuable resources for residents. Some of the free services will include health screenings, haircuts, legal services, and information on a variety of helpful topics like housing, utility programs, and basic needs. Many free resources will be available as well. Those who attend can pick up personal care items, winter gear, laundry detergent, diapers, food, and more. No registration is needed to attend, and families are more than welcome! (Please note that childcare will not be provided.)

Finally, volunteers always help make this day possible. Volunteer opportunities are available from event set-up and tear down, traffic directors, and more. Volunteer Livingston is where you can sign up for these opportunities in January 2024! https://www.volunteerlivingston.org/

As always, thanks to the generous sponsors who make this event possible – Livingston Sunrise Rotary, Brighton Masonic Lodge, Bank of Ann Arbor, and United Way.
