(You miss half the news if you don't)
Dear Readers,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Officially, after Friday, January 6th you no longer need to greet people you haven't seen for six weeks with a "Happy New Year"! You can wish them a Happy Valentine's Day if you wish.
Looking forward to seeing all my Rotary family on Friday. Maybe we should do a white elephant gift exchange one meeting?
Please send me any photos you have of past Rotary events and we'll publish them for posterity in the bulletin.
Thanks for reading the Bulletin!
J. Michael

THIS WEEK'S MEETING...
Is all about our Howell Rotary Exchange student, Marianna. She will inform and entertain us about her life... so far!
The committee would like to remind people to bring in booze and wine and beer money at our next few meetings so we can purchase refreshments AND set up an INSTANT WINE CELLAR and BIG BEER CAVE COLLECTION for bids at the auction.
Tickets are $100 per person and include dinner, auctions, entertainment and DRINKS? Wow... now that's a bargain. No cash bar? Really? Order tickets NOW at www.MidnightInTheTropics.com
A BRIEF WORD FROM PRESIDENT DONNA GEHRINGER
Word.
Seriously, folks, I hope that everyone enjoyed the holidays with family and friends.
Now, after two weeks off, WE ARE BACK! Join us this Friday for our Club get-together, as we have the pleasure to learn a little more about Mariana's life, loves and passions. Mariana is our Rotary exchange student sponsored by the Howell Club.
Greeters this week are Anne Rennie and Jim Gilmore.
Hoping to see everyone bright and early Friday morning. It's time to get back in the swing of things and hit the ground running. MITT is only 31 days away, but who's counting?! Donna

ROTARY FAMILY LUNCH - TUESDAYs in HOWELL!
Were you one of those kids in school, sitting by yourself, eating a lunch out of a brown paper bag while all the other kids around you seem to have bought their lunches? Well you no longer have to eat alone, at least not on TUESDAYS in JANUARY with LSRC.
Meet with your fellow Rotarians and their family and friends in Downtown Howell at Corrati's Pizzeria. Park out back, or along Grand River, if you get lucky.
Invite your extended Rotary Family [aka spouses], friends or co-workers. Or a member you haven't seen lately! This is one of the things that makes LSRC so special! SO, EACH ONE BRING ONE.
Greeters MUST arrive no later than7:15 AM and assist members to set up, hand out name badges, welcome guests and identify visiting Rotarians. Smile! Make EVERYONE feel welcome. Introduce them to other members.
