Pobuda Scholarship Fantasy Football 2019!
Pobuda Scholarship Fantasy Football Champ - 2018 is Dan Tomaszewski (Detroit Pride).

The trophy is in transit from it's 2018 home at Rotary Rob's to its 2019 home at the Tomaszewski's (a grueling trip of nearly 3 miles).

Plans are still being formed for the parade, expected to draw tens of people...if held in an already crowded place, like our weekly Rotary meeting.

Second Place went to Kyle Godfrey (Trouble with the Snap);
Third Place to Rotary Rob Marvin (Golden Gurleys);
Fourth Place and also winner of the most creative team name was Lauren Wagner (Lauren's Team).

Congratulations, Dan, and thank you to all who made another successful Pobuda League possible.

Trophy presentation will be made at a later date, when Dan and Rob are both at Rotary at the same time...Club Secretary says that the leap year is a good bet...LOL...but prize money will be distributed ASAP.

We raised $325 for the Don Pobuda Memorial Scholarship Fund this year...THANX!

Livingston County Rotary Cup 2018
AVERAGE GOLFERS NEEDED. The Cup was established in 1994, originally a competition between the Howell and the Brighton Rotary Clubs. In 2005, Livingston Sunrise Rotary began playing and in 2008 it was converted to a countywide Rotary Club competition. Since we currently hold the cup, it’s our responsibility to determine the time and venue for the 2018 competition.

This year‘s competition will be held at the Golf Club at Mt. Brighton THIS FRIDAY, September 21. We will have a shotgun start beginning at Noon. Cost is $40 per person for golf, cart and a warm-up bucket of balls. The winning club will receive a check from the proceeds for the project of their choice.

We play a two-person scramble with the five best scores from each club determines the winning score. We do include handicaps. Last year we retained the Cup by a single stroke over Brighton (341.5 to 342.5). SIGN UP at the meeting on Friday, or contact me via email for more information at jggilmore4@gmail.com    --Jim Gilmore
