We Own the Day!
th of July Schedule
00 am - The Hungry Duck Run offers a 5k and ½ Marathon course through the Brighton area. Proceeds from the Run fees benefit Hunger Programs in Livingston County. You should register ahead for ease of check-in, but you can also register the morning of the event.

30 am - The Duckling Dash allows the kids 10 and under to run for fun up Main Street in Brighton following the Sunrise Rotary Duck on his (or is it her?) 4 wheeler. No registration required and no charge, just show up at the corner of Main Street and St. Paul Street in DT Brighton beginning at 9:15 am.

00 am – The Brighton Independence Day Parade steps off from “Old Scranton” at the top of the hill overlooking DT Brighton and proceeds through town and to Brighton High School. The 75+ entries include Veterans, Floats, Music, Classic Cars, Trucks and Tractors, Fire Trucks, Area Businesses, Church Groups, Public Officials and Non Profits. You MUST pre-register to march in the Parade which is organized by the Brighton Area Fire Department.

15 Am – The Great Duck Race is a Brighton 4th of July tradition. More than 3,000 numbered rubber ducks are dumped in the Millpond and scurry toward the finish line. If yours is one of the lucky first 3 to arrive, you’ll win $2,500, $1,000 or $500 cash. Proceeds from The Great Duck Race go to fund grants and programs, both local and international of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation.
